Green Peace is fighting against the implementation of golden rice in agriculture in Asia, Southeast Asia, and Africa because of the possible harm it could do to the people consuming it and the environment in which it is being grown. Cross pollination is a large worry for groups against Golden Rice, furthermore, the fact that it has not been tested on human consumption raises an ethical question as to human's in less developed countries being used as unknowing test subjects.
