Food Security is a Major Issue for Vandana Shiva

Vandana Shiva sees a bigger picture

Food security is another avenue in which people against Golden Rice take.  Vandana Shiva sees the introduction of Golden Rice into developing countries as a way of controlling food.   She argues, companies do this through patents.  She also claims, there are better sources of vitamin A that people can use.  Vandana Shiva believes it is the peoples best interest to pull from a variety of vitamin A sources rather than focusing on one - in this case rice.
